Texas Comptroller Carole Keeton Rylander to Host e-Texas Commission Meeting in Dallas

(Austin)--Texas Comptroller Carole Keeton Rylander's e-Texas citizen commission will review the state's transportation system, issues challenging the environment and natural resources, and factors affecting asset and financial management at a meeting in Dallas on Tuesday. The full commission meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the University of North Texas System Center Library, 8915 S. Hampton Rd.

Comptroller Rylander will be joined by e-Texas co-chairmen Dr. Wendy Lee Gramm and Hector De Leon.

The commission will hear from David Laney of Dallas, Texas Department of Transpor-tation commissioner; Thomas L. Johnson of Austin, executive vice president of Associated General Contractors of Texas; Glen T. Insley of Charlotte, N.C., managing director of fixed income for First Capital Group; and Patrick Meyers of Houston, project manager for Water2Water.com.

Comptroller Rylander's e-Texas citizen commission is charged with developing recommendations to help Texas state government meet the challenges of the Internet age.
